THE PARALYMPIC­S are under way and we are set for 11 days of great sporting action from Rio de Janeiro until September 18. CHANNEL 4 will broadcast live coverage every day from 1-6pm and 9pm-1am. From 6-7pm live coverage will switch to More4. CLARE BALDING will present a daily highlights show between 7.30-8pm on Channel 4. From 8pm, Adam Hills and The Last Leg team take over live from the Olympic Park in Rio. THE action can also be streamed via phones and tablets via All4.

DAME Sarah Storey bids for a third title in a row in the C5 pursuit (qualifying at 3.19pm, finals at 9.12pm), aiming to add to her 11 Paralympic cycling golds. One more and she will surpass Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson as Britain’s most succesful Paralympia­n. OLLIE HYND won silver ahead of his brother Sam in 400m freestyle S8 four years ago. The 2016 final is at 9.44pm. JONNIE PEACOCK starts the defence of his T44 100m crown from 9.42pm.

He’s won all around the world and now there is a different kind of pressure at home. It does things to you: athletes will crumble or absolutely perform on home soil. RAWAT TANA (THAILAND) Men’s T54 800m, T53/54 1500m, 5,000m, 4x400m relay, T52/53/54 Marathon THAILAND are not a traditiona­l force and to have someone come from nowhere — he won’t have had the best training facilities — is incredible. Proof that hard work is a winning formula.
