Guardiola faces big decision on Bravo

- By MIKE KEEGAN and CHRIS WHEELER

CLAUDIO BRAVO could be thrown into the heat of a Manchester derby less than 48 hours after training with his new team-mates for the first time. the City goalkeeper, a £17million signing from Barcelona two weeks ago, is yet to practise with the rest of Pep Guardiola’s squad after arriving at the club during the international break. And Sportsmail understands that City’s player-friendly manager, in a bid to allow his men extra recovery time after travelling with their national sides, has moved today’s slot from 10.30am to 4pm. that means Bravo, who has been working in the gym following his arrival in Manchester, would have just two sessions with his new defence should he make his debut at Old trafford. With former No 1 Joe Hart on loan at torino and Bravo short on training time, Guardiola could opt to continue with Willy Caballero. the 34-year-old Caballero — last season’s back-up to Hart — has played every Premier League match so far this season, conceding three in three games. However, should Guardiola opt for the 6ft Bravo, one of the Premier League’s shortest keepers could face an aerial bombardment. United could field a side including Zlatan ibrahimovic and fit-again Marouane Fellaini (both 6ft 4in), Paul Pogba (6ft 3in) and Eric Bailly (6ft 1in). Bravo’s potential bow has not been lost on ibrahimovic, who yesterday posted a video on social media of himself sending some kit to City’s new man along with the message: ‘Welcome to Manchester! Here’s some training gear, you’re gonna need it. see you saturday.’
