SHOT in black and white, Noah Baumbach’s quirky low-fi comedy was co-written by its star (and Baumbach’s girlfriend), Greta Gerwig. She plays Frances Halladay, a dance student in New York City, and the film follows her as she drifts along, contemplating her life and prospects.
