Johnson fury at late Robins loss

BRISTOL CITY boss Lee Johnson was furious after his side crashed 3- 2 at Sheffield Wednesday in the dying seconds.

Kieran Lee completed a comeback after City’s tammy abraham scored with headers in the 33rd and 39th minutes. steven Fletcher got the Owls back in it and the game erupted on the hour when sam Hutchinson was sent for bringing down Marlon Pack.

City’s Lee tomlin missed the spot-kick and a minute later they were down to 10 when Gary O’Neil was shown a second yellow. Barry Bannan equalised in the 75th minute before Lee won it.

Johnson said: ‘I thought tammy was outstandin­g on his own. But there’s a couple I’m not so pleased with and they will know.’

Jacob Murphy scored twice in eight minutes as Norwich beat Wigan 2-1. Jordi Gomez clawed one back in the 76th minute.

Cardiff went behind at Preston to tom Clarke’s 36th-minute goal at a corner and Callum Robinson made it two just before half-time. Daniel Johnson completed the 3-0 win in injury time.

Jackson Irvine gave Burton a 51st-minute lead at Fulham but Ryan sessegnon made it 1-1 in time added on.

Barnsley hammered Wolves 4-0 with goals from Conor Hourihane, adam Hammill, saidy Janko and tom Bradshaw.

Luke ‘ Reg’ Varney scored the only goal as Ipswich won 1-0 at Derby.
