Darts champ Phil Taylor ordered to give his ex-wife FIVE houses

- Daily Mail Reporter

DARTS legend Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor has been ordered to give his ex-wife five houses and £830,000 in a bitter divorce deal.

The 16-times world champion split from Yvonne in 2014 after 23 years of marriage.

But the 56-year-old has now been forced to pay the massive lump sum, give up his marital home and lose a luxury apartment in Tenerife as part of a ‘clean-break’ court settlement.

divorce papers, released at the request of his ex-wife, show the Stoke- on-Trent darts ace earns £1million a year and has holdings including £3.4million in assets and 14 properties.

Mrs Taylor’s legal team said her annual budget was £58,000 a year including holidays, cosmetics and ‘weekend expenditure’.

Taylor’s lawyers offered his ex-wife all his investment properties plus a £480,000 lump sum. But in a written ruling, a judge rejected the proposal and said Taylor ‘could and should have done more’ to help her after their split.

Judge Mark Rogers ordered Taylor to hand over five properties, ‘all the pensions’ and £830,000, The Sun reported.

The judge said Taylor had up to four years left of his ‘top-level career’ in darts. he added: ‘his public persona is larger than life with a swagger. In reality, he is a thoughtful, realistic man. driving him has been his work ethic.

‘he described starting out with his wife with nothing and grafting. he obviously had a prodigious talent, but has always practised hard.

‘he is and will always remain Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor and no one will take that away from him. I am satisfied that Mr Taylor has the available resources to pay the lump sum quite quickly.’
