Toure says sorry to Pep

- By MIKE KEEGAN

YAYA TOURE finally apologised to Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola yesterday — only to be undermined by his own agent. The Ivory Coast midfielder, 33, (right) has not played a league match since agent Dimitri Seluk said Guardiola had humiliated his client by omitting him from City’s Champions League squad. Guardiola said he would not pick Toure until Seluk apologised. To try to patch things up, Toure said sorry on social media and to Guardiola in person ‘on behalf of myself and those who represent me’, only for Seluk to tell talkSPORT: ‘We want peace, but I’m not apologising.’ Guardiola hinted there was little change in Toure’s status.
