Aslef chief whose pay soared to £128k
THE Aslef union baron orchestrating this week’s chaos has said the Tories’ trade union reforms ‘smacked of Germany in the 1930s’.
Mick Whelan handed himself a 5 per cent pay rise last year, taking home £ 128,12 including an annual pension payment topping £22,000 – and the 5 -year-old makes no secret of his luxury lifestyle.
The former bank clerk has been pictured smiling at a caviar dinner and attending parties dressed as a gangster. The Labour supporter lives in a £ 430,000 house in Wembley, North London.
His wife Lorraine Phelan is a biomedical scientist who was awarded an MBE in 2010 for services to the NHS.
Castro fan with home worth £400,000
DESPITE once proclaiming that repeatedly taking strike action was extreme, RMT boss Mick Cash has spearheaded one of the most turbulent periods on Britain’s railways since the 1970s.

SOUTHERN Rail boss Charles Horton has put the blame for the shambolic service on the union barons.
