The hairy look’s grown on us – eight of the world’s 10 sexiest men have beards
The best-looking men used to be clean- cut smoothies with chiseled good looks.
But now that facial hair has grown on us, this year could become the year of the beard.
Of Glamour magazine’s 100 sexiest men for 2017, chosen by 80,000 readers, an astonishing 63 have facial hair.
Just two slipped into the top ten without beards – Night Manager hunk Tom hiddleston, 35, and US actor Matt Bomer, 39.
Jamie Dornan was awarded the top spot for a second time, having got to No1 in 2015.
The Fifty Shades Of Grey star, 34, has previously told how much he dislikes being clean-shaven. he said: ‘I hate my face without a beard. I look like a thumb.’

The full list positively bristles with men who’ve ditched their razors, including Leonardo DiCaprio, 42, Prince harry, 32, and Victoria star Rufus Sewell, 49.
Adam Brady, grooming expert at award-winning barber Ruffians in London, said fortune was finally favouring the beard, adding: ‘Beards were seen as dirty and unhygienic. But the stigma seems to have gone.
‘Men have got better at styling their beards. They no longer look straggly and crusty.’
