Clooneys’ guide to dressing down for the country
WITH snow on the way, George Clooney was taking no chances as he wrapped up warm for a country walk with wife Amal yesterday.
The couple were spotted enjoying the winter sunshine when they took an afternoon stroll close to their £10million Thameside home in the Home Counties.
The human rights lawyer, 38, looked relaxed as she linked arms with her Hollywood beau for their second public outing in as many days.
Dressed for the outdoors, she sported a £475 pair of long tassel boots by Penelope Chilvers, a favourite of the Duchess of Cambridge, and a black cashmere beret.
Her loose-fitting £880 Tassel pompom wool sweater, with mid-rise jeans and green jacket, completed the casual look. Clooney, 55, donned a tweed hat and grey scarf, tucked neatly under an £850 Burberry double breasted car coat as the pair wandered arm in arm.
It followed their first public outing together in two months, when they attended a special screening of the documentary, The White Helmets, in London on Monday night.
Prior to that, the last time Mrs Clooney had been seen in public was in November when she took part in a panel discussion and gave a speech at the annual Texas Conference for Women.
Since then, it is thought that she and Hollywood star Clooney have been taking time out of the spotlight at their renovated manor house.
The extensive refurbishment of their 17th-century, Grade II-listed mansion drew complaints from neighbours. Its features include a 12-seater cinema, 60ft pool, tennis court and a boating lake.
Despite being A-listers, the couple have seamlessly blended into local life in the village.
At one point yesterday they were seen chatting to a jogger before he continued with his day.
