PUBLISHER SHAKE-UP Newspaper publisher Johnston Press could face a boardroom shake-up.

Hedge fund Crystal Amber, the largest shareholde­r with an 18.6pc stake, is said to have called a meeting to discuss replacing chief executive Ashley Highfield. The publisher of the i and The Yorkshire Post has seen its shares fall 56pc this year. BOOKIE PROFITS Betfred’s billionair­e boss Fred Done has pocketed a £10.2m dividend.

Accounts show that £10.8bn was gambled with the bookie in the year to September 25, and it made a £32.4m profit, up from an £88.2m loss in the previous 12 months. BURGER INVESTMENT Former BBC boss Greg Dyke’s investment fund has reportedly ploughed £2.2m into fledgling British burger chain Hubbox.

Provenance Investment Partners, which is backed by Dyke and exDiageo head Paul Walsh, handed over the cash to help with expansion. The deal is thought to have valued Hubbox at £5m. DEAL PLEA Controvers­ial Australian finance firm Macquarie is facing a last-ditch challenge to its bid for the Government’s Green Investment Bank.
