‘FACING up to another man, that’s the ultimate test,’ says the actor Idris Elba (pictured), who, for this new series, wants to see if he can become a profession­al kickboxer. There’s no doubting this is a hard thing to do and, in a way, it’s inspiratio­nal — Elba is 44 — but it feels like an exercise in ego.
