Payet rubs it in on his Marseille return

DIMITRI PAyET scored his first goal for Marseille last night since returning from West Ham, helping the Cote d’Azur club to a 2-0 victory over Guingamp in the French league. It was Payet’s first start since he engineered his controversial £25million move away from the London Stadium by going on strike. The France international celebrated by scoring with a 25-yard free kick that took a deflection and flew over the Guingamp goalkeeper in the 76th minute. Bafetimbi Gomis had put the hosts in front with a diving header in the first half. Marseille remain sixth in the table, 19 points behind leaders Monaco.
