Leeds chasing top two
LEEDS UNITED can cut the gap to the automatic Championship promotion places to eight points if they defeat promotion rivals Brighton in today’s tea- time clash at Elland Road.
Garry Monk’s side remain confident of offering a late challenge to the automatic promotion places but a defeat at the hands of Chris Hughton’s Brighton would all but end those aspirations.
Leeds’ Liam Bridcutt insists the top two places are within grasp. ‘Anything can happen in the Championship,’ said the midfielder. ‘It’s just one of those things and as long as we keep putting points on the table then I don’t see why not.’
