ACROSS DUBAI – trainer, William Haggas The Haggas stable boasts a host of horses eligible for the Derby and, although it is stretching the imagination to suggest Lingfield maiden winner Across Dubai can become a serious player, he is one to keep on side this year given the manner of his debut win.

ATTY PERSSE – Roger Charlton Jockey George Baker was full of praise for this Sandown debut winner when he justified the hype to score last September. Runner-up Hamada won by six lengths on his next start and the fourth has also scored since.

CLIFFS OF MOHER – Aidan O’Brien Young horses can improve dramatically from a poor debut and that was the case with this son of Galileo, who routed a field at Leopardstown last October days after being beaten by miles at Cork. Speed and stamina in his pedigree — should be followed.

CORONET – John Gosden Green and backward when winning on her seasonal debut at Leicester, stepped up a gear when winning the Zetland Stakes at Newmarket in October. She looks a ready-made candidate for the Musidora Stakes at York before a trip to Epsom in June.

CRACKSMAN – John Gosden (right) As a son of mighty Frankel, Cracksman was always likely to attract plenty of attention and he didn’t disappoint in a Newmarket maiden win. Ten furlongs may well be his optimum trip this year given his pedigree, but could stay further.

ENABLE – John Gosden Gosden knows the family of Enable, given she is a daughter of Nathaniel. Her Newcastle win on debut has been enhanced with the runner-up and fourth winning since. Could become a smart middle-distance filly this term.

HARRY ANGEL – Clive Cox The son of Dark Angel has always been held in high esteem by his handler and he justified the faith when running out an impressive winner of the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes. Could be a contender for Royal Ascot’s Commonwealth Cup.

RAIN GODDESS – Aidan O’Brien David Wachman’s decision to retire from training means Rain Goddess, a shock 50-1 scorer on her Leopardstown bow, has moved to Ballydoyle. The Galileo filly was a big price when obliging, but the time suggested it was no fluke.

RHODODENDRON – Aidan O’Brien There were very few Group 1 victories achieved in better fashion than the Fillies’ Mile last term when Rhododendron strode impressively clear. She could well follow in the footsteps of top race mare Minding this term.

TARTINI – John Gosden Punters fully expected the Gosden stable to win the Golden Horn maiden at Nottingham last autumn, but the strongly-fancied Azam fluffed his lines, allowing stablemate Tartini to prevail — in a course-record time for juveniles.
