Was ‘Legs-it’ sexist or just a bit of fun?
I WAS delighted by the pithy response to the sour-faced puritans who lined up to complain about ‘Legs-it’ (Mail). Only those used to the comfort of a pious and self-regarding bubble could have seen it as anything other than a bit of light-hearted fun. Sadly for them, the bubble has burst: the agenda is no longer set by the Liberal Left. The days of the majority being made to feel embarrassed about their political views, social beliefs and sense of humour are gone. The response to the faux ‘outrage’ of those pompous and oppressive whiners was spot on: get a life!

I WAS disgusted by Sarah Vine’s ‘who won Legs-it?’ (Mail). This kind of sexism has no place in 2017. What sort of message does it give to women, especially young women — that they’ll be judged by what they wear and not their achievements? It isn’t humorous, it’s pathetic. I’m surprised that, Sarah Vine, as the mother of a girl, can be so demeaning to women.

IF THOSE ladies didn’t want their legs to be admired or commented on, why did they exhibit them? Our age has become the dictatorship of Political Correctness and the tragedy is that, with it, we’ve lost our sense of humour.

THE Left thinks it’s ‘sexist’ to joke about two female leaders’ legs — but if we really were sexist would those two even be leaders?

YOU can bet your bottom euro that the next time Angela Merkel sits for a photo shoot with our leggy PM, she’ll be wearing the shortest lederhosen she can squeeze into. BILLY GATES, Rainham, Essex.
