BMW workers striking

BMW’S UK staff have voted overwhelmingly to go on strike in a dispute over the closure of the firm’s occupational pension scheme.

Members of Unite backed walkouts at the car maker by 93pc, with 97pc supporting other forms of industrial action. BMW said before the result was known that it ‘has always prided itself in providing excellent pensions for all its staff’.
