An Article on March 18 about the data sharing function of SystmOne, a computer system used by GP surgeries, said that it was not secure and that it enabled non-qualified staff to gain access to patients’ medical records. We have been asked to clarify that, while the information commissioner has raised concerns, there has been no security breach, and data can only be accessed by nHS professionals with the relevant security clearance.
