Torode: I’m not friends with Wallace

THEY may share a fierce passion for food but TV chef John Torode has admitted he’s never been friends with MasterChef co-host Gregg Wallace.

Despite being best man at Wallace’s wedding, the Australian revealed the pair do not socialise off-screen and have often argued in their 12 years judging the show together.

Torode, 51, said: ‘It’s funny, we’ve never been friends. We’ve not been to each other’s houses. He’s so OCD, he wouldn’t know what to do.’

He said disagreements over contestants’ dishes have sometimes continued off-camera – once escalating into a ‘massive fight’ after a few drinks.
