NOTHING says autumn like the dazzling colours of fallen leaves. And perhaps nothing says ‘daylight robbery’ like paying for them. A retailer on the website Etsy is selling red Japanese maple leaves for £396.69 for a bag of 500, plus £24.79 for shipping. The vendor claims the leaves are ‘perfect for weddings, events and decorations’ and they were all hand-picked. Being a generous sort, she even throws in some extras for free! On the other hand, you could just walk down a suburban street in October and immediately have several sacks full — saving yourself £400.
