Burrell dines out with new fiance and family

PRINCESS Diana’s former butler had a cosy pub dinner at the weekend with Graham Cooper — the first time the couple, both 58, have been seen since announcing they are to marry.

Among those joining them at the Queen’s Head in Troutbeck, Cumbria, were Paul Burrell’s sons, 27 and 24.

Fond of saying Diana called him ‘the only man she ever trusted’, Burrell’s 2003 memoir provoked Princes William and Harry to issue a statement. ‘We cannot believe,’ it read, ‘that Paul, entrusted with so much, could abuse his position in such a cold and overt betrayal.’

No wedding presents, it’s safe to say, from that quarter then.
