Skinner: ITV’s new Nightly Show is odd

COMEDIAN Frank Skinner, whose appearance on ITV’s disastrous The Nightly Show went wrong when it lost signal during transmission last week, admits he had no idea what he was in for.

‘I wasn’t in the country for the first couple of weeks, so I hadn’t seen it or heard anything about it,’ he told me after film- ing. ‘I first heard about it when comedians started phoning me up and saying: “Isn’t it great that The Nightly Show is doing so badly?” And I said: “I don’t know what it is.”’

Skinner, who found himself blindfolded and fed spicy wasabi by TV chef Gordon Ramsay on the show, added: ‘It is a very odd show.’
