YOUNG FUN Milo Murphy’s Law, 5pm, Disney WITTY new comedy that comes from the quirky end of the spectrum. Milo (pictured) is the personification of Murphy’s Law — anything that can go wrong for him,him does — but heh certainly gets plenty of adventures out of it. ‘Weird’ Al Yankovic provides his voice. (Sky 609, Virgin 724) FOOTBALL Lincoln City v Dagenham & Redbridge, 7.15pm, BT Sport 1 AFTER their FA Cup adventure, Lincoln are back on TV again. ON-DEMAND MOVIE Allied, BT TV Store, Sky Store, Virgin ROMANTIC thriller set during the Blitz, with Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard as the couple with a secret brewing between them. Occasionally, and especially to British eyes, it tips from glamorous into cheesy. CLASSIC BEGINS The Avengers, 8pm, True Entertainment THREE episodes from series one survive, and this — Girl On The Trapeze — is one of them. It’s pre-Honor Blackman, and it doesn’t even feature Steed (Patrick Macnee), but centres instead on Steed’s first partner, Dr Keel (Ian Hendry), in the case of an attempted suicide. OUR CARS & US Roof Racks & Hatchbacks: The Family Car, 9pm, BBC4 FROM the Morris Minor to the Ford Cortina and the Volvo estate, the family car is about being sensible, isn’t it? As this endearing new history reveals, that isn’t always the case, while providing rich reflection on the joys and despairs of family road trips. FREEVIEW ROMCOM The Other Woman, 9pm, Film4 FROTHY but enjoyable romcom about a trio of women — Leslie Mann, Cameron Diaz and Kate Upton, pictured — who take revenge on the cheating man who has been wooing all three of them. SMART DRAMA Big Little Lies, 9pm, Sky Atlantic MADELINE and Celeste (Nicole Kidman) are swept up in the excitement of having new purpose tonight, and this sends ripples through their personal lives. We still don’t know who the killer or the victim is, but that scarcely matters — the drama in the present is gripping enough. FANTASY FILM Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, 9pm, 5Star SOMEHOW, the Grimms’ two timid children become action heroes in this fantasy comedy. Gemma Arterton and Jeremy Renner are the siblings taking on a coven led by Famke Janssen’s enchantress. TENNIS Monterrey Open, 9.45pm, BT Sport 3 HEATHER WATSON defends her title at this Mexican event. Challengers this year include Caroline Garcia, whom Watson beat in last year’s semi-final. FANTASY DRAMA Outcast, 10.15pm, Fox PHILIP GLENISTER returns as the unhappy preacher in the U.S. drama about possession. The demons are still out there, but Anderson (Glenister) is too mired in his own problems to deal with them in an episode that leans heavily on that Deep South atmosphere.
