Cherry and cinnamon porridge
SERVES 2
100g frozen pitted cherries
6 tbsp cherry or apple juice
450ml milk or milk alternative
½ tsp ground cinnamon
75g porridge oats PUT the cherries in a small saucepan with the cherry or apple juice, cover and heat gently over a low heat until warmed through. Meanwhile, put the milk, cinnamon and oats into another small pan and heat until just simmering. Turn down the heat and cook for 10 minutes, adding extra milk or water as required. Spoon the porridge into bowls and top with the cherries. Serve hot.
