IT’S not quite Buckingham Palace, but it seems David Beckham has finally got the honour he feels he deserves – thanks to his good friend Guy Ritchie.

For the former soccer star plays a knight in the new film King Arthur: Leg- end of the Sword. However, judging by the photo Beckham posted online of his make-up, showing painful-looking facial scarring and yellowed teeth, his role won’t all be about poetry and damsels in distress. The ex-England captain, 41, makes a cameo as Trigger the Blackleg leader, a disgruntled knight, in the film which will be released in May. Directed by Ritchie, the movie stars Charlie Hunnam as King Arthur alongside Jude Law as Vortigern. In February, hacked emails from 2013 revealed that the star was furious that there were no plans to knight him in the New Year’s Honours list.
