From Bea to you... Macca’s daughter, 13, copies dad’s quiff

BACKSTAGE theatre visits usually involve an excited fan hoping to catch a few moments with their heroes.

But when that guest happens to be Sir Paul McCartney the cast itself could be forgiven for feeling a little starstruck.

The Beatles legend had gone behind the scenes with youngest daughter Beatrice, 13, to meet the stars of the musical Carousel. And in a picture encompassing a multitude of musical talent, they posed alongside classical singers Alfie Boe and Katherine Jenkins.

Miss Jenkins posted the photo on Instagram on Saturday with the caption: ‘Macca at the matinee! Eek.’

Completing the all- star line-up was Only Fools And Horses actor Nicholas Lyndhurst, who is also in the show, and other members of the cast.

Beatrice, rarely seen in public, is the daughter of Sir Paul, 74, and ex-wife Heather Mills, 49. Her parents are keen to keep her out of the limelight, with Miss Mills saying she had no ambitions to follow her father into pop music.

Instead Beatrice, Sir Paul’s fifth child, would prefer to be a marine biologist.

During an interview with American TV host Oprah Winfrey, Miss Mills said: ‘I rarely talk about my daughter. I’m really proud of the fact that I have kept her image protected.

‘She’s not mixing in celebrity lifestyles. She’s not out in public places.’

Boe and Miss Jenkins have received rave reviews for their roles as Julie Jordan and Billy Bigelow in Carousel – the first time they have starred together.

It is Miss Jenkins’ West End debut, and Boe’s first since he finished a successful run in the lead role in Les Miserables.

Carousel, set in a coastal North American town in the late 1800s, is running at the London Coliseum until Saturday.
