IAN HOLM narrates a stirring BBC docu-drama that was made in 2004 to mark the 60th anniversar­y of D-Day and recreates the preparatio­ns for the Normandy landings with admirable skill and restraint. The section on the Allies’ disinforma­tion campaign is particular­ly interestin­g.

FOOTBALL Manchester United v Celta Vigo, 7.30pm, BT Sport 2

IT’S the semi-final, second leg at Old Trafford, as United try to capitalise on their 1-0 victory in Spain and make it to the Europa League final in Stockholm. Lifting the trophy on May 24 is surely the likeliest route into next season’s Champions League for Mourinho’s men.

Also, MI6 man Harry (Russell Tovey) finally seems to explain himself, once and for all. There’s always another layer with him, though . . .

THIS spin-off from The Good Wife has settled into a reliably compelling groove. In tonight’s pacey new episode, the slippery Mike Kresteva (Matthew Perry) takes his case against Diane’s firm to the next level and has another enjoyable clash with Elsbeth.
