Aldi boss eyes expansion

ALDI’S boss has outlined aggressive expansion plans that could see the German supermarket open more than a thousand stores.

Matthew Barnes indicated in an interview with indus- try magazine the Grocer that the discount store could open up to eight stores in some British towns, piling further pressure on more established rivals such as tesco.
