TRUE-STORY DRAMA

The Immortal Life Of Henrietta Lacks, 9pm, Sky Atlantic ROSE BYRNE and Oprah Winfrey (pictured) star in this immediatel­y engaging HBO film about the story of Henrietta Lacks, who was, in 1951, the unwitting source of cells that became hugely important to medical research. Ultimately, this is a rich tale of family, full of colourful characters.

ACTION FLICK

Lucy, 9pm, Film4 WILDLY OTT thriller, of the kind director Luc Besson does so well. Scarlett Johansson is the reluctant mule who develops powers after absorbing high doses of an experiment­al drug.

TV PEOPLE

UnREAL, 10pm, Lifetime THIS dark mix of comedy and drama is set behind the scenes of a trashy U.S. dating contest, as an unstable producer (Shiri Appleby) returns to work under her sharptongu­ed boss (Constance Zimmer, pictured with Appleby). This is the TV premiere for season two, which is also available in its entirety on Amazon Prime.

Prevenge, BT TV/ Sky Store/Virgin Movies ALICE LOWE directs, writes and stars in a horrific comedy about a grieving, pregnant killer. It’s poignant, if not for the sensitive — and Lowe was actually pregnant during filming.
