Soap maker cleans up

-

THE maker of Imperial Leather soap and St Tropez fake tan has seen strong sales of a new range aimed at people aged 18 to 24.

Toiletries giant PZ Cussons said its washing and bathing division in the UK has been robust while its beauty division performed well in the year to May 31.

Finance chief Brandon Leigh also flagged ‘strong initial sales’ of a new subbrand of its Sanctuary range, which it launched last month, saying: ‘We have seen customers being more watchful on what they spend as inflation bites, but young shoppers don’t appear to be holding back on buying new products.’

The company is due to release its full-year figures next month.
