Land Rover driven mad

-

LAND ROVER will want their Lions sponsorship to run smoothly today after more negative publicity for the brand.

Earlier in the tour Land Rover provided transport for a Lions charm offensive. Players spent hours in the vehicles visiting schools and community projects. But Lions coach Warren Gatland blamed being cooped up in the ‘4 x 4s’ for contributing to the back spasms suffered by Kyle Sinckler and Ross Moriarty, who hasn’t played since.

Land Rover were reportedly furious about the comments, which followed their doomed sponsorship of the RFU. That ended partly because England players misbehaved on a sponsors promotion day, driving on the beach during the 2011 World Cup. Nevertheless, Land Rover will put on another driving challenge today. lSIGNS
