Got a secret to share, Boris?
IN a crowded pub you never know who might overhear you.
And Boris Johnson and Michael Fallon appeared to have important matters to discuss.
After a chat with Tories at The Bricklayers Arms in Chipstead, Kent, on Saturday, the pair retreated to a secluded bench by the river at around 6.30pm.
The private meeting, a mile from the Foreign Secretary’s residence Chevening House, came amid claims Theresa May was given ten days to save her premiership or face being ousted by Tory MPs.
Mr Johnson is a leadership favourite. He and the Defence Secretary spoke intensely for 45 minutes.
An onlooker said: ‘Whatever they were talking about, they didn’t want anyone else to hear.’
A source close to Mr Johnson said the pair ‘had a catch-up’. A source close to Sir Michael, who lives near Chevening, said they were merely ‘having a pint at their local’.
