PADDING UP FOR THE BEST CAUSE
THe Commons and Lords cricket team is playing a match tomorrow to raise money for the Grenfell Tower appeal.
The match is at Latymer Upper School, whose playing fields are in the shadow of the stricken tower. The parliamentarians will play the Lashings All-Stars, who include former Test players Brian Lara and Sir Viv richards. The Tory captain of the parliamentary team, Selby and Ainsty Tory MP nigel Adams, says: ‘The match will be played in good spirit for a hugely important cause.’
Orpington MP Jo Johnson will play, but no mention of his brother Boris padding up — he’s too busy juggling balls in the Brexit talks.
