HOw to get the enviable physiques of the stars. This week: Sally Field’s shoulders SALLY FIELD showed off welldefined shoulders on the red carpet recently.
The 70-year-old actress, who was diagnosed with bonethinning disease osteoporosis several years ago, has said she includes hiking, biking and yoga in her routine. She’s a fan of indoor cycle classes, but also of weight training, known to strengthen weak bones.
WHAT TO TRY: Shoulder shrugs tone neck and shoulder muscles. Stand with a straight back, feet shoulder-width apart and arms at sides.
Hold a dumbbell or bottle of water in each hand, palms in. Raise shoulders towards your ears by ‘shrugging’ them. Squeeze muscles as you lift, hold the position at the top momentarily and release. Repeat for 10-12 shrugs and do 2-3 sets.
