Bias against freedom
MR CORBYN’S former spokesman endorses a tweet accusing a Labour moderate of paedophilia... A hard-Left Twitter troll openly admits to spreading fake news, saying that if it harms Theresa May, it helps the political project... A Corbyn-backing Twitter account threatens: ‘No forgiveness for centrist scum’...
For weeks, this paper has documented vicious attacks and smears – including death threats, vandalism and anti-semitic abuse – directed by Corbynites against Tories and Labour moderates alike.
Yet before Mrs May announced an inquiry, the BBC barely mentioned this terrifying development in politics – just as during the election it drew a veil over the Labour leadership’s links to terrorist groups.
Indeed, the Corporation kept virtually silent until Labour’s chairman, in a clear attempt to divert attention, accused Rightwingers of abusing candidates online. Then suddenly the story was leading its news.
Truly, the BBC has never been more partisan. Be sure of this: if its relentless bias helps Mr Corbyn’s thugs triumph against freedom and democracy, their first move will be seizing control of the airwaves. IN choosing arch-Europhile Nicky Morgan to chair the Treasury committee, Remainer MPs have delivered a setback to Brexit. They have also spurned the talents of Jacob Rees-Mogg – the fogeyish Brexiteer who stands intellectually head and shoulders above the somewhat second-rate Ms Morgan. They have done the public a grave disservice.
