Classroom politics

-

DURING the many years I worked in schools, I was often too afraid to offer my opinions in the staffroom for fear of being shouted down and insulted for daring to express Tory views.

Most of the other teachers were Labour supporters and not afraid to express their ideals in class, which I felt was wrong as they should not indoctrinate their pupils.

I was told when entering the profession that if asked what political party I supported, I should always decline to answer so as not to bias my charges. However, I seemed to be a lone voice, and was startled by the misconceptions passed on to pupils by other members of staff.

We are all aware of how young Muslims are radicalised, but I see no difference in this and the brainwashing perpetrated by Left-wingers in our schools.

Young people are not being encouraged to see the other side of the political spectrum.
