Big name tie-up for takeaways
DELIVERY firm Just Eat is looking to secure new partnerships with big chain restaurants after toasting record sales and profits.
The company, which provides a takeaway delivery service for restaurants, said it is in talks with several unnamed chains.
Just Eat typically teams up with independent restaurants, but rivals Uber Eats and Deliveroo have done deals with McDonald’s and other burger and pizza chains.
Paul Harrison, interim chief executive, said the move to add big chains would attract new customers. Sales jumped 44pc to £246.6m in the six months to the end of June, while its profits increased 46pc to £49.5m.
The firm raised its full-year sales guidance to £500m-£515m.
