It was just one blurred boob, says DJ behind topless Sophie snap

-

Former radio DJ Kara Noble, who infamously sold a topless snap of Sophie, the Countess of Wessex just weeks before her wedding to Prince edward, is now blaming Chris Tarrant for the saga.

Noble, who was fired over the scandal as a presenter on Heart Fm, made a rumoured £100,000 in 1999 when she sold the photograph of Tarrant holding up a young Sophie rhys- Jones’s T-shirt.

She claims Tar rant exacerbated the fallout by expressing his outrage at the publication, forcing her to leave the country following her public vilification.

The picture, taken 11 years earlier when the future Countess was a 23-year-old Pr for Capital radio, was decried as ‘premeditated cruelty’ by the Palace, although Noble now maintains: ‘It was just one blurred boob, is what it was. He made it [the press fallout] worse, there’s no doubt.’

Speaking in Los Angeles, Noble, 58, daughter of Carry on actress marianne Stone and theatre critic Peter Noble, confirms the pair are still on non- speakers. ‘I did drop him a little line recently, but I didn’t get a response. I just said I hope you’re good, you know. my life’s great now and I’m sorry if I was a flibbertigibbet, and I hope I didn’t hurt you in any way and I hope you’re happy, I hear you’ve not been well.

‘It was a nice little note. I thought it was very nice, but you know.

‘He’s not big on forgiveness, is Tarrant. Never was, never was.’

After the scandal, Noble relocated to LA and left her British husband for an American wrongly convicted of the murder of his own mother.

Kara fell for Bruce Lisker after becoming his prison penpal. They wed on the second anniversary of his release and celebrate six years of marriage this weekend.

HIS sister Carole Middleton enjoyed her share of airport food in her trolley-dolly days, but Gary Goldsmith has finer tastes. While dining at Nice airport this week, the millionaire was outraged about having to shell out 94.50 euros (£86) for two plates of fish and chips, filet de boeuf and drinks. Goldsmith shared his bill on social media, whining: ‘The most expensive c*** meal ever.’ It’s a far cry from niece Pippa’s recent wedding, when gourmand Gary tucked into beluga caviar, muntjac carpaccio and langoustines.
