Cancer girl who’s going to Cambridge
PHOEBE Pickering had to leave school and travel to the US for treatment after being diagnosed with a rare kidney tumour. Despite chemotherapy, she was determined to continue with her studies and teachers emailed work to her.
After being given the all clear Phoebe, 19, returned to Brighton College, where she got an A* in English last year. She has now received A*s in Philosophy and Latin and will study Philosophy at Cambridge.
