ONOMAH STRIKE RESCUES VILLA

JOSH ONOMAH’S deflected equaliser earned Aston Villa a point at Ashton Gate. Jamie Paterson’s left-foot effort put Bristol City ahead on 60 minutes after a free-kick conceded by John Terry rattled around the penalty area. But Onomah saw his 25-yard effort deflect in off Marlon Pack four minutes later as Villa claimed a deserved share of the spoils. Eros Pisano struck the woodwork for the hosts as Villa hung on for the draw.
