Deloitte partners rake in £865,000

-

PARTNERS at ‘ Big four’ accounting group Deloitte saw pay jump £28,000 last year as revenues rose 11pc.

the company said its 703 equity partners earned an average of £865,000, up from £837,000 the previous year.

the most senior partners, including chief executive David Sproul, are likely to have pocketed even more.

Revenues for the year to the end of May increased by £340m to £3.4bn in its second consecutive year of double-digit growth.

Sproul said: ‘this is a good performance in a complex and uncertain market which has been impacted by Brexit and the elections in the US and UK. We have continued to invest through this year of uncertainty and that investment in our people, in winning market share and building market leading solutions has resulted in flat distributable profits.’

the firm said its consultancy business benefited from growing demand for new cost-cutting technologies, with its risk advisory arm boosted by rising interest in cyber security and regulatory compliance.

Its tax division was helped by uncertainty around Brexit and the possibility of US tax reform, Sproul said.

Deloitte employs more than 30,000 people.
