HAPPY news that William and Kate are expecting another baby, happier still that it relegates those two ridiculous princesses Beatrice and Eugenie even further down the line of succession. Dare we hope Kate will follow in Queen Victoria’s footsteps and have nine children?

MY DAD said the pictures of Prince george starting school reminded him of when he took my brother, Michael, along to his first day in class.

He said: ‘I was holding his hand and when we got to the school gate, he held up his arms for a hug. I said: “No son, you’re a man now. Men shake hands.”
