Coleen hits the gym... minus her wedding ring
COLEEN Rooney has been spotted without her wedding ring amid rumours that her marriage is ‘hanging by a thread’ after her husband was charged with drink-driving in another woman’s car.
The wife of former England captain Wayne Rooney was pictured without the £250,000 wedding ring, as well as her £200,000 engagement ring, as she went to the gym in Manchester yesterday.
Her husband, who was caught driving single mother Laura Simpson’s VW Beetle in the early hours last Friday, was still wearing his wedding ring as he left Everton’s Finch Farm training ground earlier in the week.
Mrs Rooney, 31, who was dressed head to toe in black as she drove to the exercise session, is said to have been ‘livid’ with her husband for yet another cheating scandal and fled to her parents with their three children after the revelations.
It has been reported that in an effort to save his marriage, Rooney, 31, offered to give up drinking if his wife cut down on the number of holidays she takes every year.
Mrs Rooney has been on ten trips so far this year, to destinations including Madrid, Ibiza and Las Vegas.
She was in Majorca with their children when Rooney was pulled over in 29-yearold Miss Simpson’s car while allegedly three times over the limit at 2am last Friday .
The report about the holiday ultimatum was denied by a source close to the couple.
Rooney, who has been with his wife since they were 16, is due before Stockport magistrates on September 18.
