Plumb job
MY SON-IN-LAW is a carpenter and was in the same position as Alan Hobbs’ grandson, who couldn’t get a job as a plumber because he was newly qualified and didn’t have experience (Letters).
Instead of wasting his skills packing fruit and veg, I suggest he approaches some local plumbers and offers to help with smaller jobs.
After a year or so of doing this, he will have experience and can then work for a plumbing firm or become selfemployed. And his granddad’s central heating will be in tiptop working order.
