Donkey bit car… thinking it was carrot
YOU’D think only an ass would mix up a £260,000 supercar with a root vegetable.
And, in the case of Vitus the hungry donkey, you’d be right.
He apparently confused an orange car for a carrot, biting the McLaren 650S parked by his paddock in Hesse, Germany.
While most of the £30,000 damage was covered by driver Markus Zahn’s warranty, he successfully sued Vitus’s owner for the remaining £5,260.
Mr Zahn said Vitus ‘probably thought the car was a carrot on wheels’. While the McLaren can do 0-60mph in 2.9 seconds, understandably Vitus is a bit slower off the mark, given his lack of horsepower.
