BY THE SEASIDE Robson Green’s Coastal Lives, 8pm, ITV THIS week, Robson is in Pembrokeshire, where he meets the family who have bought their own island — complete with Napoleonic fort — and goes for a dip with the wetsuit-free club who love a swim in the freezing Celtic sea. PASTRY PERFECTION? The Great British Bake Off, 8pm, Ch4 WHILE little has changed since the famous tent was bought by Channel 4 — if you squint, you can hardly notice the difference — the adverts are proving an unwanted distraction during this most gentle of shows. Still, they give you a chance to make a cup of tea as we reach episode six, and the seven remaining contestants (including last week’s star baker, Sophie Faldo, pictured) return for pastry week. CONTINENT IN CONFLICT Reformation: Europe’s Holy War, 9pm, BBC2 HISTORIAN David Starkey tells the dramatic story of how, five centuries ago, the German monk Martin Luther launched the Protestant Reformation. It was a revolution that was to throw Europe into two centuries of religious bloodshed and led to the Tudor Brexit from Rome. SUMMER SEASON Alaska: A Year In The Wild, 9pm, Ch5 SUMMER has finally arrived, and as the ice starts to melt, it’s time for one of the world’s greatest migrations — the Alaskan salmon run.
