DISAGREEMENTS need not lead to people falling out with each other. We can be calm even in turbulent waters, like a sturdy bridge. But the bridge only stands a chance if it’s built with care and has solid foundations. In the same way, a healthy relationship can’t be built under false assumptions. How well are your internal engineers working? Are there adjustments that need to be made? It’s far better to make alterations now, than to have to close the bridge later for emergency repairs.

TAURUS Apr 21 — May 21

SUPERSTITIOUS people often manage to convince themselves that weird and wacky ideas will yield sensible solutions. So if you need a little extra luck, volunteering at an animal shelter will guarantee that ten black cats cross your path. Then, if everything goes to plan, surely within a week, you’d win the lottery! Carrying mirrors, though, becomes a lot more risky. There’s really no need to go to such extremes today. As your ruler links to the planet of transformation, what you need is on its way.

GEMINI May 22 — June 22

WE TEND to think that people who charge more money for their services are better and more qualified than their less expensive peers. Except that nowadays, just about anyone can self-promote themselves, claim to be an expert and charge the earth. It’s not surprising that they don’t like to come under scrutiny or answer delving questions. Don’t be fooled by know-it-alls with fancy rhetoric today. The person most highly qualified to handle the sensitive situation you’re dealing with is you.

CANCER June 23 — July 23

I SAW a great piece of graffiti recently that read: ‘Question everything?’ I thought of you, because I know that you’ve been feeling unusually doubtful and anxious, wondering whether you’ve made the right choice or whether you have misunderstood something. As Venus links to Pluto, it’s time for a change in your approach. While critical perspective is important, it’s critical, too, to look at the situation from a different angle. Proof that things are finally moving in the right direction is on its way.

LEO July 24 — Aug 23

IT’S easy to confuse slow progress with no progress at all. This is particularly true when a deadline is looming. Are you overlooking an ingenious short-cut? Can a process be accelerated so you can spend more time focusing on what’s most important? Since the answer to those questions seems to be negative there’s only one option left. You can play for time. Altering expectations will be easier than you imagine. Then, as your ideas adjust, you’ll find that the pressure eases.

VIRGO Aug 24 — Sep 23

SEISMOGRAPHS are sensitive, finely tuned pieces of equipment that record the scale of earthquakes. But we humans have our own natural, innate ability to pick up unusual vibrations. You’re particularly perceptive when it comes to sensing other peoples’ emotions, even when they remain unspoken. And not unlike earthquakes, unexpressed feelings can trigger a domino effect of aftershocks — tangible to those closest to them. What might look like an eruption today, can be easily calmed.

LIBRA Sep 24 — Oct 23

PERHAPS the greatest problem with the world isn’t the world itself, but the people who are convinced they have the answer to what’s wrong with it. We find it easy to criticise and complain. We watch the power wielders and despair. No matter who’s in charge, the same old shenanigans are repeated time and time again. We seem to find it easier to criticise than to forgive. If you can find forgiveness today, you’ll see another perspective and make an important discovery.

SCORPIO Oct 24 — Nov 22

RECENTLY, your rulers entered a pleasing ‘trine’ that affected your social situations and communication skills. Today Venus aligns with Pluto before she catches up and soon converges with Mars. It reminds me of a ‘good cop/bad cop’ scenario. If you’re trying to convince, influence or recruit someone to your side, it’s worth trying a softer approach, at least in the short term. But eventually a mixture of heat and heart will help this connection develop to its full potential.

SAGITTARIUS Nov 23 — Dec 21

IT SEEMS the snacks we crave indicate the nutrients we lack. So if you’re craving crisps, your body could be low on salt. If you’re dreaming of chocolate, maybe low blood sugar is the culprit (and a sandwich or a fruit salad might be a better option). But we like what gives us instant gratification, so it’s frustrating when we realise ‘instant’ isn’t satisfying any more. It’s worth questioning your motivation today. A deeper commitment may be much more fulfilling.

CAPRICORN Dec 22 — Jan 20

SOMETIMES, your forecast varies a lot from day to day. At other times the theme remains consistent. My job is to report what planetary movements suggest and to help you navigate through these celestial events. Recently the message has been not to be so tough on yourself. I’ve told you once, and I’ll risk boring you by repeating the message until you act on it: you can do it! Take time to relax. As Mercury joins Mars in your sign tomorrow, match intensity of feeling with depth of understanding.

AQUARIUS Jan 21 — Feb 19

RULES are made to be broken, or so rebellious people tell us. But breaking rules indiscriminately never helps anyone. Perhaps we should think a bit more like Picasso. His advice was to ‘learn the rules like a pro so you can break them like an artist’. He understood that it’s only when we understand the system that we can change it with purpose and integrity. It’s beyond my powers to free you from a specific constraint right now. Only you can do that.

PISCES Feb 20 — Mar 20

THE power of advertising is greater than ever. Promoters tell us their product is ‘the best’, and we jump. We never question how 30 different shampoos can all be ‘the best’. We just think we’re getting the best product. It’s ironic that we’re quick to believe media jargon, but when something truly special arrives, we are quick to disregard it. Don’t let showmanship manipulate you today. As Mercury joins Mars in your sign tomorrow, it’s time to match intensity of feeling with depth of understanding.
