Moneybags Brand gives new wife a £300k dowry

-

MOST women would pay not to marry Russell Brand, so no wonder the former sex addict has given new wife Laura Gallacher compensation.

Just six days after the happy couple sailed down the Thames in a steamboat having exchanged vows, Brand gave his bride a ‘dowry’ — a 50 per cent stake in the company through which he channels his earnings.

The company, called Pablo Diablo’s Legitimate Business Firm, had £601,652 in the bank at the latest count, meaning Brand gave his wife more than £300,000 after she agreed to marry him in August.

The move was revealed in documents filed at Companies House.

Champagne socialist Brand has been accused of double standards, because he once said he couldn’t manage without his hairdresser and a private jet.

Despite preaching an anti-capitalist revolution and calling profit a ‘filthy word’, the comic has amassed a personal fortune of £10 million, according to Spear’s magazine. He is also a director of a film company that allows investors to avoid tax.

Laura, 30, the sister of Sky Sports presenter Kirsty Gallacher and daughter of golfer Bernard Gallacher, first dated Brand, 42, more than ten years ago, when his ‘ obsessive promiscuity’ was in full swing.

In his lothario heyday, Britain’s most toxic bachelor allegedly slept with 1,000 women, and described himself sexually as a ‘charging locomotive’.

Brand’s second memoir describes an orgy at his house as ‘four in the bed, two in the kitchen, three in the hot tub and still the doorbell rings’. Conquests include heiress Jemima Goldsmith and Kate Moss. He was also briefly married to the singer Katy Perry, but allegedly dumped her by text in 2012.

Brand has now reinvented himself as a spiritual self-help guru who keeps chickens at his £3.3 million retreat near Henley in Oxfordshire.

He said recently that being married for a second time is ‘different’, and that becoming a father to baby daughter Mabel last November gave him ‘new life’. Although he added: ‘That’s not to say I won’t make mistakes in future.’
