HOW THEIR LIVES WERE TRANSFORMED
A FAMILY holiday to Legoland to meet Lego Batman — thanks to Make-AWish Foundation UK — gave four-year-old Zak, from Belfast, hope after a long battle with a cancer called metastatic neuroblastoma.
ARJUN, five, lives with choroidal melanoma (a cancer of the eye) and autism. But his dreams came true when Make-A-Wish Foundation UK arranged for the little boy from Hertfordshire to be a Virgin train driver for the day.
GEORGE, 15, from Redditch has CHARGE syndrome, a genetic condition that causes developmental delay, deafness, sight defects and autism. But nothing could hide his joy when Make-A-Wish Foundation UK arranged a trip to the factory where his beloved CBeebies magazine was made.
