Cocaine-selling waitress in City hid drugs in the cocktail menus

- Daily Mail Reporter

A WAITRESS at a glamorous City of London bar sold cocaine to customers by hiding it in cocktail menus.

Justyna Gorska, 34, used the tactic at least six times while working at the upmarket Dion bar, near St Paul’s Cathedral.

When doing a drugs deal, the assistant general manager would ask revellers to conceal cash inside a menu.

She would then take it away, and return with the drugs and drinks, charging £50 per wrap of cocaine.

She then repeated the ruse, dealing half a dozen times between June 20 and August 16 this year.

But the bar worker was caught red-handed using the menu.

A wrap of cocaine was found hidden in her bra when she was arrested.

At the Old Bailey, she acknowledged that what she had done was wrong – but denied being a drug dealer, claiming that the cocaine was given to her by a friend.

Gorska, of Vauxhall, south London, admitted supplying cocaine and was jailed for 28 months.

Jo Chalker, director of Dion St Paul’s, said: ‘We have a zero-tolerance drugs policy and have cooperated fully with the police during their investigation.

‘We continue to work closely with the City of London Police licensing team on all licensing matters.’ Detective Constable Brendan Kennedy, of the City of London Police, said: ‘Gorska clearly believed that the rules did not apply to her.

‘Her sentence is proof that our dedicated Major Crime Team will identify any such offenders and we will use a range of tactics to stop them and bring them to justice.

‘The sale and supply of illegal drugs will not be tolerated anywhere within the City, including within pubs and bars, and the City of London Police will seek to prosecute anybody involved in this criminality.’
