THE Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur — inventors and pioneers of aviation — have been ‘rehabilitated’ by the Kremlin. The Soviet magazine Problems Of History has completely debunked the Stalinist claim that Russia’s Alexander Fedorovich Mozhaisky invented the aeroplane.

AT 48, Mr Harold Wilson will be Britain’s youngest Prime Minister for 70 years if the rest of the results today carry him to Downing Street [which they did]. He will be younger than many in his Cabinet. The last time Britain had so young a Prime Minister was in 1894 when the Earl of Rosebery became Premier aged 46.
